Fabulous Friday Challenge - Journal Cards

Friday, September 14, 2012

Welcome back! It's Friday which means we have a new challenge! I am also thrilled to reintroduce our Design Team! These ladies have done an outstanding job of providing inspiration for all of you for the past 6 months and they have agreed to stay on for 6 more months!

This week, we are challenging you to use up some of your journaling cards! You can make a card, layout or off the page project, but you must use one or more journaling cards! Look at the creative ideas our Design Team came up with!

Sarah G.
Sarah used journaling cards instead of patterned paper for this page - it is a great way to use up all those older, unused journaling cards.

Lydia
Lydia
Lydia used 6 journal cards in place of patterned paper.

Anita used lots of little journal spots from Maya Road in a cluster.

Carol

Carol made a mini album with journal cards. To make your own, adhere 3 sides of  journal cards to make into a pocket for mini tags. The mini tags will display more photos and journalling.

Lori M.

Lori used graph paper or ledger paper to make her own journaling cards for her projects.  She loves the "lines" for journaling or stamping.  The subtle design also adds dimension.

We would like to welcome our sponsor for this challenge,

Words or Whatever  is a small family owned and run wholesale business located on the Central Coast of NSW.

We saw the need for affordable chipboard, acrylic and mdf products for the scrapbooking industry. We can provide either 1.2mm or 1.8mm chipboard as well as mdf from 3mm to 25mm thick.

We specialise in providing custom made items and can also create exclusive items for retail outlets upon request.

You can offer the custom made service to your customers so they can order their children’s names or individual titles for their pages.

We recognise the need for shops to be able to take orders from customers and so have no minimum quantities and no minimum order amounts!

Do you have a suggestion for a product that you would like made? Email us and ask us!!

Our Design Team Member, Monique is also on WOW's Design team! Look at what she created using their products!

2-Sisters
"I have created a Journaling Block with a WOW Chipboard Swirl Frame, which I painted with a Ranger Dauber in Cool Peri, then I splotched so Silver Alcohol Ink on it to give it some silver highlights. I then used some Kaisercraft Pearls to frame the edge.  I also layered it with 2 other chipboard journaling spots."

And the prize....

Now Words or Whatever has a treat for you, you get to pick your own prize of 20 pieces of chipboard yourself...Now how is that for a prize ???

Now jump on over there and have a look at all the gorgeous items that they have, because you could be the next winner, but you have to be in it to win it.

*We try our hardest to visit everyone's blogs/galleries to leave comments for those who participate in our challenges each week. However, if you have the security feature turned on that requires us to type in a code to leave a comment, we are not going to be able to leave a comment. May we suggest you try comment moderation instead? :)

I am so sad to see that there is no more Sketch challenge but at least I can participate in the Friday Challenge. The work of the DT is fabulous! So many ways to use the journaling cards.
